Black & White

You can make your images appear more arty and creative by taking your photos in black and white. This part of the guide is an introduction to black and white photography.


I use B&W film exclusively in my german rangefinder cameras- Ilford FP4-HP5 also Kodak BCW400 CN and Fuji Neopan 400- 800. I must get around to buying another enlarger and ancillary equipment to support my work. Although pro processing produces acceptable results I am aware that my lenses come into thier own when enlarged. I have used colour reversal for the past 30 years for mountain photography- Kodachrome II 25asa and Agfa CT18 50asa in alpine regions so it is quite a while since I had my hands in chemicals
